Ballet Idaho in “Man in Black”

In Ballet Bend’s Spring program, we welcome Ballet Idaho in a mixed program featuring Man in Black. Set to Johnny Cash music, and choreographed by James Kudelka, this beloved work which has been performed across the world finally makes its premiere in Central Oregon!

Also on the program, we disappear into Robyn Mineko Williams’ dreamy landmark ballet, Cloudline. Originally created on Hubbard Street Dance, Cloudline has become one of Williams’ most sought after works.

Rounding out the evening we savor a new work by one of tomorrow’s next great choreographic voices, Puerto Rico’s, Omar Roman de Jesus. Described as “emotionally resonant”, “surreal”, “cinematic”, and “sensual”, Omar is one of the few that has created a movement language completely his own.
